Set in the beautiful Swiss skiing village of Veysonnaz, the most attractive of the 4 Valleys satellite resorts, and looking over the picturesque town of Sion, cosy 'Chalet Lususa' is perfect for affordable, self-catering family holidays, all year round. The Chalet sleeps ten people comfortably; with three double and two twin bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sauna, large kitchen diner, and a large open plan lounge with three sets of French windows opening onto a long balcony with fabulous views over the valley and mountains. There is a free bus from outside the chalet to the lifts - a 20 minute walk away.
The skiing in the 4 Valleys is varied and suitable for all standards. Over 100 lifts take skiers around the 400km of pistes. Good skiers will be able to ski to Verbier for lunch. A new ski lift was installed in Veysonnaz village in 2006 which gives access to a huge area of runs suitable for all abilities and is especially geared for families. Snowboarders are well catered for, with halfpipe and obstacles at Mont Fort and La Chaux. The Ski school is good in Veysonnaz with excellent ski school facilities available for all abilities with children being well provided for. In the same building as the telecabin you will find a brand new ski hire shop, see www.onthemountain.ch, www.mountain-online.com , www.ocactus.com, where very helpful English speaking staff will store your boots and skis overnight for 20 swiss francs a week. The lift pass office is conveniently situated above.
There is a selection of small bars, cafes and lovely restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the chalet as well as two supermarkets, a butcher and a boulangerie. There is also a medical centre only 2-3 minutes drive away.
